What is "BYIBI"?
"BYIBI" stands for "Build Your Internet Business Interests" - the purpose is to help businesses and entrepreneurs connect with others, and grow their business relationships. Even if you aren't a business owner, you can use it to find career avenues, find a job, connect with others in your profession, even find friends and keep in touch with them.

In short, it is a virtual business community - a social network specifically created for those who want to connect with others in business online, to create and build business relationships, join teams and groups of like individuals, joint venture with others, share your knowledge, learn from others, talk about your ideas and help them grow with the right associates.

What Is A Business Network?
A business network is simply a group of people that have a commercial relationship... for example, boss - employee, buyer-supplier, colleague-colleague. Business networks function the best when individuals offer to help others find connections, rather than "cold calling" on people themselves. Most often, business networking takes place in restaurants, hotels, and sometimes even trade shows - if a person has good social skills, they can make new business contacts in almost any situation.

Often companies find they can't compete in certain areas, because they don't have the necessary resources. Because of this, networks are formed to utilize the needed attributes, and the importance here is of course, to create a mutually beneficial relationship.

What Do I Get If I Become A Member At BYIBI?
At BYIBI.com, you get a free "profile" home page that you can provide information about you, your profession and your interests. You can send messages to other members, link up as friends, arrange events or participate in events. You can join "Groups" (Networks) for your industry, interests and/or geographic location, or create your own group (network), and so much more.

How much does it cost?
Membership is free! You can do almost anything as a free member. There are upgraded options for a small fee per month which allow you to post events, remove ads, etc. Most features are available for free.

So how do you support yourself if it's mostly free?
In order to provide this site for free, we have a modest amount of advertising from quality companies throughout the site. Unlike some "social networks" and sites that completely bombard you with ads, we do not, we do keep it to a minimum.

So if I join, does that mean you'll sell my email address to everyone who wants it?
Absolutely not! Your privacy is valuable to us. We never rent or sell your email address. If you are opted into our members newsletter, you will see some advertisements in there, but no one has access to your email address unless you provide it to them yourself.

Where are the members located?
Members are from around the world, with the majority currently in the United States, Canada, Australia and the UK.

When did this site launch?
BYIBI just launched at the beginning of 2007, so this is a great time to set up your free account and get noticed as new members join!

What is the "Points" thing?
We reward you with member points for every post you make (legitimate of course), and for every friend you refer. The points shows other members your activity level - this is a good thing for you, because the more active you are, the more points you earn, and the more active other members will see you as.

What can I do with the points?
Later this year we'll be rewarding members with various rewards and prizes for those who are active within the BYIBI network.
